I like when the Word of God talks about in the book of Revelation when it speaks of "being overcomers by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony".
I know what God has done for me over the past 30 years after being diagnosed with kidney failure and through the four kidney transplants, I know that God has given me a testimony to share. I know that things have been tossed upon me, and through God's help and salvation from Jesus, I have been able to shake it off and rise above those things, and testify to what God has done.
I look at it like the old farmers tale we have all heard. A farmer's mule had fallen into an old abandoned well, and the farmer could not get him out, so he called all the neighbors over to bring their shovels and just fill in the well with the mule in it. As they began to toss dirt in the well, the mule became agitated and wasn't going to accept the fact that he was going to be buried alive, so he shook the dirt off his back each time it was shoveled down. And as he did this, he began to us the dirt shaken off, to step up. After several hours, the mule walked away, knowing that he overcome everything that was being thrown at him.
That is how our walk with Christ should be. Whatever is thrown at us, we should get agitated, not take it, and shake it off with the power of the Holy Spirit, and step UP! Rise Above!! and and walk away, giving glory to God for what He has done!!
Chris Tomlin's song says, " I will rise, when He calls my name. No more sorrow, no more shame. I will rise on eagle's wings, before my God, fall on my knees, and rise!! I will Rise"
Get on your knees and rise before God, giving Him glory and giving Him it all!! Sometimes we have to fall, in order to stand.
Be Blessed!!!!
